Or, use the infinite scroll option to keep loading products as the user scrolls down the collection page, increasing engagement and encouraging shoppers to explore everything you have to offer.
Turbo features the most settings, options and configurations of any theme we’ve ever produced, giving store owners the power to control more elements of their stores without needing custom code.
Turbo’s also a fast little bugger — advanced coding techniques make pages load blazingly fast thanks to our “Ludicrous” page transition setting and other behind-the-scenes tricks.
When “Ludicrous” (the setting, not the rapper) is on, Turbo predicts what content your shopper will visit next and pre-loads that page in the background. So, if the user moves to that page — it will appear almost instantly.
Turbo also incorporates some creative ways to make your site seem even slicker.
Even though Shopify’s servers already serve up images darn fast, we’ve added thoughtful details to make those load times, however small, seem faster to your shoppers.
Large, high quality images have been designed to elegantly appear on screen as they load, giving your store a more nimble feel while also drawing shoppers’ eyes to the photography once it’s been fully loaded.
Turbo also uses “lazy loading” for images — a technique that images are only loaded when needed, to reduce page loading times. A new feature also lets Turbo intelligently detect your shopper’s screen size and load the most appropriate image size for it.
